He started his work in press in El Correo Gallego and La Noche and together with other artists, he promoted the Artistic Society of Ferrol in 1970. He is a member of the Galician Academy of Fine Arts (1990), member of the International Spanish Association of Art Critics of Madrid and Paris (1982), member of the Union of Journalists (Madrid), member of the Press Club of Ferrol, founder and editor of the magazine ‘Arte Galicia’ and founder and coordinator of the magazine ‘Poesía Galicia’. Besides, he has collaborated in several newspapers and magazines such as La Voz de Galicia, El Ideal Gallego, Ferrol Diario, Mundo Gallego, El Correo del Mar, Finisterre, ‘Revista General de la Marina’, ‘Arteguía’, ‘Goya’, ‘Desarrollo’ and in the radio station Cope-Ferrol. Nowadays, he goes on collaborating in Diario de Ferrol and is delegate of the magazine ‘Círculo de Dirigentes’ and cultural and foreign relations advisor in the Port of Ferrol.

 Work & Activities

As a member of the panel, he has participated in the Art Biennials of Pontevedra, the Fifth Painting Rioja Prize (Logroño), Nelson Zumel Painting Contest (Madrid), Art Contests of Burela, Mugardos and Cedeira and ‘Premio de Pintura de la Mar’ (Port of Ferrol, 2002). Besides, he was on the commission for establishing the conditions of Unión Fenosa Exhibition (1988), observer in the third edition of the European Young Artists Contest of the firm BPOIL Spain in Valencia and Castellón, director of ‘Museum’ Art Gallery and organizer of the First International Exhibition of Art Magazines (1997), etc...

 Other Interesting Aspects

He was awarded many prizes such as the Honourable Prize in the exhibition for the seventh centenary of Pontedeume (1971), second prize in the Fourth Exhibition of Mondoñedo (1978), first prize in the Plastic Arts Contest of the Ministry of Work (Madrid, 1981), silver medal in the First Military Painting Exhibition (A Coruña), second prize in the exhibition ‘Comisión Naval del Mar’ (Vigo, 1983) and second prize in the Fourth Painting Contest of Cedeira (1984)...
