He studied Professional Training and Trade at the Commerce School in Vigo and A Coruña. He was a member of several societies in Vigo. From 1957 to 1979, he was the president of the Mercantile Circle, promoting culture, art and sport. In 1958, he founded the association 'Amigos de la Ópera de Vigo', being the president until his death.

He was awarded several prizes for the Circle such as the gold medal of the city (1960)for his cultural activity and the silver plaque to the sports merit (1972) for his effort in favour of sport. From the personal point of view, he was awarded many distinctions and honorary mentions.
