
Curriculum Antonio Taboada was blind since he was a child. He studied Piano, Flute, Harmony and Composition. He conducted orchestral groups of classic music and was a chapel master in Pontevedra. As a composer, he left an important work in several musical genres.
Work & Activities One of his most important works is the 'zarzuela' Los hijos de Minerva. He collaborated with Dr Mascaró, who created a mixed writing system for the blind and those who are not blind.
Other Interesting Aspects When he died, the County Council of Pontevedra created 'Antonio Taboada Nieto' Prize to improve studies on piano.
