He wrote books in Latin, Castilian and mainly in Galicia, which distinguished him from other neoclassic poets of his time. He especially dealt with popular religious topics in his poetry. A Noite Boa, written in Galician and Oda en elogio de Don Andrés Gacio in Castilian are some of his most important works.
