-Doctor's degree in Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine. -Head of the Radioisotope Service at the Faculty of Medicine. -Member of the Galician Academy of Medicine and Surgery. -Ex-president of the Medical-Surgical Academy of Santiago. -Ex-president of the Spanish Society of Nuclear Medicine. -Founder of the Spanish magazine 'Medicina Nuclear'. -Ex-vice-president of the Spanish Society of Radiology. -President of the Hispanic-Portuguese Congress about Pharmacology (1979). -President of the Congress about Nuclear Medicine in Santiago (1979). -President of the Congress about Nuclear Medicine in Madrid (1982).

 Work & Activities

He has directed eight doctoral theses and fourteen minor theses. He was the main research worker on six research projects. Together with other authors, he wrote seventeen books. He also published eighty-five research works, twenty-nine of them in international magazines picked up in the SCI Journal Citation Reports. He collaborated as rapporteur in forty-eight congresses, fifteen of which were international.
