Afonso Eanes do Cotón has twenty poems in the volume Cancioneiros, seventeen ’escarnio e maldizer’ poems and three ‘amigo’ poems. In addition to these compositions, his ‘tenzón’ with Pero da Ponte is also preserved, probably being the most interesting composition of all his work.
