When he was very young, he emigrated to Buenos Aires, where he became a male nurse and wrote his first poems. In 1953, he began to publish his poems in the newspaper 'Galicia' of the Federation of Galician Societies. He wrote both in Galician and in Spanish. Together with Eliseo Alonso and Teodoro Campos, he founded the magazine 'Mundo Gallego', four issues coming out. In 1960, he returned to Galicia.
He wrote Terra alucinada (1959), Nouturnio de soedades, Muiñada noitébrega and Penas son cantares. In addition to his books, some of his drawings are also preserved.
