He studied at St Fernando Fine Art School in Madrid (1969-1974) and moved to Edinburgh in 1977. He has been living and working in Madrid and Edinburgh since 1982. In 1984, he was awarded a scholarship from The New York Foundation for the Arts.
His style can be defined as a mixture between a conceptual and realist approach. Since the very beginning, he was interested for human figure and the way of reflecting the inner life of characters.
