Ricardo V. García Mayor
Curriculum He took a degree in Medicine and Surgery at Navarra University in 1971 and a doctor's degree in Medicine in 1978. From 1972 to 1975, he worked as resident doctor at the Department of Endocrinology and Nutrition at the Clinical Training (Navarra University). In 1977, he took his degree as specialist in Endocrinology and Nutrition.
Work & Activities Nowadays, he is the head of the Service of Endocrinology and Nutrition at 'Xeral-Cíes' Hospital in Vigo. As a Professor, he gave the doctorate course 'Neurociencia' at Vigo University. He also directed six doctoral theses. He wrote four monographs and forty-eight articles in medicine magazines and other international ones.
Other Interesting Aspects He is the first vice-president of the Spanish Diabetes Society and belongs to the board of directors of the Spanish Diabetes Federation. He is a member of the Ethical Committee of Clinical Investigation in Galicia. He is also an adviser of the Committee of the Growth Hormone and coordinator of the unit to support investigation at 'Xeral-Cíes' Hospital in Vigo.
