1975-1978: He worked for a private firm being responsible for budgetary control.
1979-1984: Liberal practice of his profession.
1978-1987: He worked as a teacher at the Business School in Lugo.
1982-1990: He worked at Lugo County Council, being the secretary of the Informative Commission of Economy and the Special Account Commission from 1986 to 1990.
1990-up to date: He works in the Xunta de Galicia.
1996-2005: He was the secretary of the Provincial Commission for Free Legal Assistance in Lugo.
