Curriculum

He took a degree and a doctor's degree in Biology at Santiago University. He is a Professor on leave of absence at Santiago University. Miguel Ángel Cortizo is also a member of the Federal Committee of the Socialist Party (he faced Pérez Touriño to be the general secretary of the Galician Socialist Party during the primary elections) and a member of the Galician Parliament.
