He was cousin to Marcial del Adalid and was an outstanding businessman of that time. He first studied Music with the organist of the Collegiate Church in A Coruña and went on with Ignaz Moscheles in London. He travelled all over Europe making friends with Liszt, Chopin and Rossini, among others. He also lived in Ourense and Madrid, where he performed for Queen Isabel II at the 'Royal Palace'.
These are his most important works for piano: Seven Waltzes for Piano Forte; Andante y Allegro Agiato; A Fanny, Wals Imprompth y Sonata and for organ Piezas para Harmonieflute; A Fanny Garrido del Adalid Imprompth; Tres bagatelas; Bagatela campestre; A Pepe, Imprompth; Scherzo y Andante.
