He studied Secondary Education in his native city and started Architecture at Madrid University in 1882 giving it up soon. He travelled around Europe and Argentina and returned to Galicia working at construction companies although he could not sign any project. He decided to take up his career again finishing it in 2 years and taking his degree in 1917.
He carried out an extensive work, about 2000 works among those concluded and the projects.
In addition to Architecture, his defence of Galician Autonomy was his great passion. He was elected as the general secretary of the Galician Party. He collaborated in local and regional newspapers and was a member of 'Penzol' Foundation and vice-president of the executive board of 'Galaxia' publishing house.
