She worked as a civil servant in the Finance Delegation in Lugo for fifty years. Together with her sister Ofelia she founded the Brotherhood ‘Entrada Triunfal de Jesús en Jerusalén’ (La Borriquita), which has been marching on Palm Sunday and Good Friday since 1945. The brotherhood started with seven Roman and five Hebrew soldiers, nowadays there are about seventy and two hundred respectively.

 Work & Activities

The procession was always celebrated in the open air. They collaborated with Buen Jesús Brotherhood for several years. The brotherhood is supported by means of 3 euro-shares a year, economic aids from the County Council, some donations and a great personal effort throughout the whole year.

 Other Interesting Aspects

She looked after the ‘paso’ stage, uniforms and costumes and was in charge of the organization, cleaning and preservation. In the late 1950’s, she helped José Fernández to create the Milagrosa parish church, where there are over a thousand children in the catechesis and several activities.
