Curriculum

He took a degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Santiago de Compostela and specialized in Psychiatry in Almería, where he worked from 1980 to 1987. In 1987, he moved to Lugo and in 1989 he began to direct the Acute Psychiatric Unit at Xeral-Calde Hospital. Since 1999, he has also been responsible for the Mental Health Area in Lugo. He is also a Professor at the Nursery School in Lugo. He took a master’s degree in Health Management and studied Sofrology, Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy. He was the vicesecretary of the Galician Association for Mental Health (2002-2005) and has been the president since June 2005.
