He took a degree in Information Sciences (Journalism) and studied Image in Madrid and took a degree in the Faculty of Economical Sciences in Santiago de Compostela. He worked as an editor in a training period in the Efe Agency (1975), editor in ‘Diario de Lérida’ (1977-80), editor and section head in El Progreso (1980-90), editor-in-chief of El Correo Gallego (1990-96), editor of Galician TV news (1996-2002) and managing director of Radio Gallega (2002-...). Besides, he worked as a correspondent of several news agencies and newspapers, head of press of the Chamber of Commerce in Lugo (1987-90), editor of ‘Lérida Deportiva’ (1979), cofounder of the weekly paper ‘La Boira’ (Lleida, 1998), assistant manager and editor of the magazine ‘Cámara’ of the Chamber of Commerce (Lugo).

 Work & Activities

In addition to his many articles and collaborations in some publications, he wrote the book 100 años (with Ernesto Sánchez Pombo), published by the Chamber of Commerce of Lugo. He also participated as a lecturer and rapporteur in courses and conferences on journalism.

He was the president of the Press Association of Lugo (1987-90), president of the Federation of Galician Press Associations (1988-89) and vicepresident of the Association of Galician Journalists (1995-99).
