He is a civil servant of the Xunta de Galicia in the Agriculture Service. Nowadays, he fills the office of mayor in the City Council of Paradela (Lugo) and secretary of the association 'Ribeira Sacra Lucense'. From 1995 to 1999, he was a member of the Galician Parliament and president of the Sports Society of Paradela.
