He took a degree in Fine Arts at La Laguna University and attended doctorate courses at the University of Vigo. Since 1989, he has been teaching Artistic Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Design, Illustration and Advertising Graphic Design at different Art Schools and Design in Secondary Schools. He has been teaching Plastic Arts at ‘Julia B. Malvar’ School in Barrantes – Ribadumia (Pontevedra) since 1999.

 Other Interesting Aspects

Fernando Viscasillas was awarded ‘Lorenzo de Médici’ Medal at the fifth edition of the International Biennial of Contemporary Art in Florence that took place at the ‘Fortezza da Basso’ from 6th to 14th December 2003.
