 Curriculum

He started his studies at the primary school of Sabucedo and went on in El Pasaje (La Guardia, Pontevedra), in Carrión de los Condes (Palencia) and the Seminary of Comillas (Santander). Then he moved to Salamanca as Jesuit novice and in 1954 he moved to Brazil.

In Brazil he went on studying Philosophy in Nova Friburgo (Estado do Río) and Theology in São Leopoldo (Estado do Río Grande do Sul), where he was ordained as a priest in 1962. In 1965, he was first appointed to Belo Horizonte (Estado de Minas Gerais) as counsellor of young candidates to Jesuits.

In 1971, he was appointed to Juiz de Fora (the Jesuit School was founded in 1956). In 1982, he was appointed to São Luís School in São Paulo, after having spending a year at the Apostle School in Vigo.

Then he moved to Salvador, where he began to work at Antonio Vieira School in 1989; at that moment the school had about five thousand students. In 2002, he was appointed to Juiz de Fora again as the rector was suffering from a serious heart disease and needed help.

Nowadays, he mainly focuses on the student orientation (theatre, trips, education, guidance for pupils and parents, mural paper (www.muraljoia.com.br), etc)

He also helps outside the school in a nearby parish in San Mateo, where he celebrates mass on Sundays and accompanies a group of young men who invited him to join them on Saturday evenings. He also writes comedies, stories and articles related to family.
