He established himself in Granada in 1632, where he wrote his works. His narrative work (Las grandezas y antigüedades del Reino de Galicia) got lost. Napolicea is his most important poetry book, a canto about the great deeds of Captain Gonzalo Fernández de Córdoba in Italy during the reign of the Catholic Kings. This book also inspired another one titled Poesías varias, heroicas, satíricas y amorosas (1652). He also wrote the work Del Templo e imagen de la Virgen de la Cabeza de Motril.
