In 1871 she established herself in Madrid, where she collaborated in Spanish and American magazines and newspapers. Four years later, she returned to her native city and married the journalist Lorenzo Gómez Quintero.
She published Horas de inspiración (poetry, 1876), Cuadros sociales o pequeñas novelas (1878), Escenas de la vida, el libro de versos Crepusculares (1894) and the dramas Lazos rotos and De la cima al abismo.
