He studied Philosophy and Arts in Santiago de Compostela. Then, he moved to Vigo, where he founded and edited the magazine 'Mensajes de poesía' (1948-50).
Eduardo Moreiras started his literary activity in Spanish with his book La muerte de la Luna (1936, unpublished) and continued with El bosque encantado (1947), Éxtasis (1948), El guerrillero (1948, unpublished) and Los amantes (1949). In 1955, he published his first book in Galician titled A realidade esencial. He also wrote Paisaxe en rocha viva (1958) and Os novos carreiros (1970). As far as his narrative work is concerned, he wrote the following books: Follas de vagar. Xornal (1969-70), Primaveira no lor (1974), Fogo solto (1976) and O libro dos mortos (1979).
