He studied at the Seminary in Ourense, where he worked as a teacher and was a schoolteacher in Lugo. During his youth, he collaborated in several newspapers such as La Nueva Época and La Región.
He wrote many poems in Galician, which were compiled after his death in a volume titled Poesías religiosas and published in 1944. Some of his speeches were also published such as La Tercera Orden de San Francisco y la juventud, La enseñanza y la educación, La defensa de La Coruña en 1589, etc.
