He works at Lugo's Museum. He was one of the founders of 'Chaira' Group of Ethnographic Investigation (Lugo, 1992), taking part in several campaigns to collect oral literature in several villages of Lugo. He gives lectures and collaborates with divulging works related to History, Art, Ethnography, popular Mythology and oral literature in several means and specialised magazines.

He was awarded the following prizes: 'Breogán' Prize, awarded by the Galician Centre of Baracaldo (1988), 'Meigas e Trasgos' Prize (Sarria - Lugo, 1989), 'Manuel Mato Vizoso' Prize (Vilalba - Lugo, 1989), Press, Radio and TV National Contest of Art and Popular Traditions (Ministry of Culture, Madrid, 1987), 'O Facho' Prize (A Coruña, 1989), 'Merlín' Prize (literature for children and young people, 1998), 'Supernova' Prize (literature for children and young people, Lugo TV, 1999) and 'Raíña Lupa' Prize (County Council of A Coruña, 2000).
