Graduate in Banking Education at the CUNEF in Madrid (1986) and computer applications analyst on leave of absence.
Member of Galician nationalism since 1976, she was a foundation member of the BNG in 1982. Shop steward from 1980 to 1984, she was on the National Women Commission of the BNG.
Since its creation she was on the National Commission for the Information Society of the BNG. She has been a member of the National Council of the BNG since 2003.
In 2005 she was elected director general of the Galician Equality Service in the Xunta de Galicia.
She collaborated in ‘Foro do Novo Estatuto’ and 'O Tratado da Constitución Europea: Visións desde Galiza’, Baia Edicións (2005). She is the author of several articles and reports related to feminism. She is a member of the technical commission of AENOR for the elaboration of the Spanish UNE norm.
She was on the editorial staff of ANDAINA until 2005.
She is a member of 'Otras voces feministas' opinion group.
