He studied Secondary Education at 'Maristas' School in Lugo (1945-52) and Law at Santiago de Compostela University (1952-57). In October 1959, he became a member of the Bar Association in Lugo and he has been practising as a lawyer since then. He was one of the founders of 'Ancares' Club (1964-65) and was the president of 'Deportivo Lugo' F.C. (1969-71). He was a member of the Galician Party since it was founded in 1976. Since 1997, he has been working as a teacher at the Juridical School in Lugo.

 Work & Activities

He has collaborated in the newspapers La Noche (Santiago), El Progreso (Lugo) and El Heraldo de Viveiro writing articles on different themes. He wrote the following books: La sublevación militar de 1936 en Lugo; La Guerra Civil en Lugo, años 1937, 1938 y 1939; Momentos estelares; Siempre con el recuerdo and La otra guerra de los años locos.

 Other Interesting Aspects

He was Infantry Second Lieutenant in Cáceres in 1958. He has coordinated the association 'Peña Salmónida' with cultural and gastronomic activities since 1980. A caricature of him was included in the book Homes de Lugo by José Mouriz (1964). He travelled all over Spain and visited several cities of the USA, Canada, Latin America and Europe. He got the distinction 'Lucense del Año' in 2001.
