Curriculum

He studied Secondary Education at a jesuit school and at the Seminary in Tui. In 1954, he started to work as civil servant taking a diploma of Tourism Inspector and some improvement courses on this subject. He was an adviser of the National Network of the old TV Clubs since they were created until the Ministry of Information and Tourism disappeared. He was secretary of the 'Delegación de Turismo' of Pontevedra on several phases and provincial delegate from 1978 (he was transferred to the Xunta de Galicia with the same post) to 1980. It was then that he was nominated as head of the Tourism Service, within the new structure, until he retired in 1993. Since 1994 he has been general coordinator of the group of professionals at Gastronomy 'Amigos da cociña galega' (Friends of the Galician Cuisine). He promoted the Centres of Initiative and Tourism, creating them in A Estrada and Mondariz, and the Federation of Centres of Iniciatives and Tourism in Pontevedra. He was also consultant at the bank 'Caja de Ahorros Provincial de Pontevedra' and member of the Tourism Organization 'Rías Baixas' and the heritage board of Pontevedra.
