-Degree in Telecommunication Engineering at the Polytechnic University (Madrid).

-Postgraduate in Electric Engineering (Teledetection Systems), University of Purdue, West Lafayette, Indiana (USA).

-Expert on Foreign Commerce (Faculty of Economical and Business Sciences – University of Santiago de Compostela).

-Researcher on LARS (Laboratory for Applications of Remote Sensing) within the Visiting Scientist Programme of the University of Purdue (USA). He made research works processing digital images.

 Work & Activities

On his returning to the USA in 1980, he started his professional career in the private sector of Telecommunication and Information Technologies.

From 1980 to 1982, he developed his professional activity in Telecommunication and Information Technologies companies.

In 1982, he entered Televés as responsible for Cable TV Systems. During this period, he was responsible for the design and implementation of some of the pioneering projects of cable TV distribution in Spain and took an active part in the design works of the Galician Autonomic TV network. He carried out several studies on the radio and TV coverage in Galicia, giving professional advice to the Galician Government in many occasions.

In 1985, he took charge of the activities for the international expansion of Televés. He developed the whole international network of this Galician company, opening markets in the five continents and promoting this brand all around the world. Nowadays, Televés has a commercial network composed of distributors and subsidiaries that let the firm sell products in over eighty countries in the world and is one of the most known companies of this sector in the world.

As responsible for the international department of the group, he has developed most of his professional activity abroad. He participated in many international meetings and gave lectures and courses, taking part in international agreements both with private companies and with governmental and public institutions. He also created Televés subsidiaries abroad, which let him know the law regarding this sector in many countries. Because of this, he has a wide experience in the international sector and has many professional contacts all over the world.

In 2005, he was elected dean of the Galician Society of Telecommunication Engineers and president of the Association of Telecommunication Engineers, being elected again for both posts in March 2009.

During his period in charge of the association, he has professionalized its management and obtained the respect of companies and institutions related to Telecommunications in Galicia. The association has taken a leading role in the Galician sector of communication technologies and has given professional advice to the Galician government in key projects for the development of Galicia such as broadband expansion or the TIC cluster. The Galician Society of Telecommunication Engineers is today a very important institution in Galicia within the Telecommunication and Information sector.

Nowadays he is responsible for the Business Development of Televés Group.
