He studied at Salesianos School in Cádiz, where he discovered his interest for painting. Then he moved to Madrid, where he combined his studies of drawing and painting with music. In 1975 he founded the Ceramics School in Ermua (Basque Country) with several partners. In 1981 he returned to his native village, where he promotes and directs the Painting and Ceramics School. Regarding teaching, he collaborated as a teacher of painting and ceramics at the Secondary Schools of Allariz and Verín. He gave courses at Mariñamansa Cultural Centre, the City Council of Xinzo and a workshop for children in Ourense.

He is a member of the Galician Association of Artisans, teacher of ceramics (Xunta de Galicia) and drawing (City Council of Allariz) and director of ‘A Fábrica’ Gallery (Allariz).
