He studied Law at Santiago de Compostela University and practised as a lawyer in A Coruña, where he spent most of his life. He was the secretary of the Regional Court and deputy in A Coruña (1931-33), being on the Finance Committee.
He collaborated in the newspaper La Voz de Galicia and in 1934 participated in a course of lectures of the Economical National Union of Madrid, where he developed the subject ‘La economía gallega y la solidaridad económica nacional’.
He was a member of the Galician Academy and president of El Eco Choral Society in 1927.
