He studied Secondary Education in Mondariz and Vigo and Industrial Engineering in Madrid. He directed his family company (biscuits manufacture) until he was forty. He was the president of the Chamber of Commerce and vice-consul of Portugal in Tui (Pontevedra).

 Work & Activities

In 1969, when he was forty, he made his first sculpture and devoted himself to this activity. He carried out exhibitions in Madrid, Barcelona, Oporto, Ostene, Caracas, Dublín, Vigo, etc. These are some of his most important sculptures: 'Pegaso' at Barajas Airport (Madrid), a statue dedicated to Europe in Vigo, a stray dog in the zoo of Madrid, a horse in Ciutadella - Menorca, a group of horses in Lalín and Tui (Pontevedra), a horseman at 'Miralcampo' Palace (Guadalajara), the top of 'García Barbón' Culture Centre in Vigo, mural at Santiago Airport, etc. Before his death, he was making sculptures dedicated to Alfonso IX in Baiona, walking in Moeche (A Coruña), octopus in O Carballiño (Ourense) and horses in Arzúa (A Coruña).

 Other Interesting Aspects

He was awarded the gold medal at the first biennial in Pontevedra.
