José Octavio Rodríguez collaborated in the newspaper Faro de Vigo and in the radio station 'Ondas Galicia-Vigo' and Galician TV. From 1990 to 1993, he directed the sports programme Deportes Fin de Semana on Galician TV and the sports section from 1993 to 1996. He gave lectures and collaborated as a rapporteur in many sports and communication conferences. Since 1998, he has been the director of Spanish TV in Galicia.
