He took a doctor's degree in Audio-visual Communication and Advertising in the Faculty of Information Sciences at Complutense University in Madrid. He specialised in audio-visual themes and gave many lectures and formation courses. He filled the offices of secretary and vice-dean in the Faculty of Information Sciences.

 Work & Activities

He carried out several audio-visual works and was TV director. He also made some research works about cinema, photography, TV and new technologies. These are some of his most important books: Historia del cine de Galicia (1896-1984) (A Coruña, 1985), Historia ilustrada del cine español (Madrid, 1985), Cine español: una propuesta didáctica (Barcelona, 1993), Diccionario filmográfico de Galicia (Lugo, 1993), Guía histórica del cine: 1895-1996 (Barcelona, 1997), Enciclopedia del cine español (obra en CD-ROM -Madrid, 1997), Historia General de la Imagen (Madrid, 2000). He also took part in collecitve works such as: Diccionario biofilmográfico de Galicia (A Coruña, 2000).

He was a member of the panel in several audio-visual festivals and scientific commissioner in the exhibition 'Historia del cine español' (Madrid, 1992).
