When he was twenty, he entered the Academy of Military Administration and was a war commissioner. He collaborated in almost all Galician newspapers and some others in Madrid, where he also founded and edited the magazine 'Galicia'.

He wrote many books such as Traductor del francés y tratado manuscrito de correspondencia usual y comercial (1895), Lolita. Cantos y juegos de niñas (1901), El problema obrero (1903), Alfabeto y Libro de lectura del soldado (1904), Los cinco gordos del siglo XX. Historia de la Lotería Nacional (1906), La jura de la bandera (1907), Los sitios de Zaragoza (1908), La Administración Militar en la Guerra de la Independencia (1909), La Guerra de la Independencia en Galicia (1911), El general D. Pablo Morillo (1911), etc.
