He took a degree in Chemistry and graduated in Business Management and European Communities. He works as a teacher of Secondary Education and as for his political activity; he was subdirector general of Culture in the Xunta de Galicia (1989 and 1990). He was also the president of the Socialist Party in Pontevedra, secretary of Culture in the Galician National Executive Commission and councillor in the City Council of Pontevedra. He was a deputy of the Galician Parliament during the fifth and sixth sessions. Nowadays, he is the secretary for the organization of the Galician Socialist Party and secretary of Institutional Relations and Culture in the Executive Commission of the Socialist Party, deputy in the Spanish Parliament and coordinator of the Galician deputies and senators.
