Paula Velo was Galician champion in the categories: Beginner, cadet, junior and absolut. She was Spanish champion in 1988 (beginner), 1993 (cadet), and 1992 & 1994 (junior). In 1993 she became third of the world as cadet within the Spanish team and world runner-up as junior in 1995.
